Our beloved brother, Allan Villafana, passed away on Sunday, March 1st. His death was a shock to our entire family. Al was very sociable and knew so many people here in Key West. It has been so wonderful to hear from so many people that we've met "what a nice guy Big Al was." People would also always comment on his beautiful blue eyes. Our family would joke whenever we visited that he was like the "mayor" of Key West. Everyone knew him. He loved living here.  His beloved dog, Louie, died 10 days before him.  So even though our brother died of natural causes, we believe he died of a broken heart. He missed his Louie and we believe Louie needed him and was calling him home.

Allan is survived by his sisters, Joanne Bass and Judy Villafana, his nephews Alex Bass, Bobby
Linke, Matthew Linke and his great niece Daniella Linke, as well as a large extended family.  Our family is heartbroken over losing him but forever grateful for the time we did have with him. Remembering his ways and expressions will always make us smile.

Rest in peace, Brother.
