Obituary

Anna Marie DeSantis, born on July 17, 1951, in Key West, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Gartenmayer; her brothers, William Gartenmayer Jr., Sebastian Gartenmayer, Fred Gartenmayer, Tony Gartenmayer, and Dennis Gartenmayer; and her sister, Yvonne Gartenmayer. Anna is survived by William DeSantis and wife Isabel; the love of her life, her grandson William DeSantis Jr. and wife Arianna; Kathy Rieck and husband William; Lisa Druckemiller; Edward Gartenmayer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Anna was a beautiful person, both inside and out, with a personality that could light up any room. From a young age, she helped her parents raise her siblings, showing a strength, love, and dedication that would define her life. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, a caring sister, and an aunt to many. A true firecracker, Anna had a spirit that was impossible to forget. She had a special way of connecting with people and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her conversations were full of life, humor, and heart, and she truly cherished spending time with those she loved. In celebration of Anna's vibrant life and colorful spirit, the family kindly asks that attendees wear vibrant colors for Anna. A celebration of life will be held on April 11th at 4:00 PM at El Siboney on Stock Island, 5501 5th Avenue, Stock Island.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
