Carol Rose Masat passed away at her home in Key West, FL on July 17, 2023, at the age of 87. Living with Parkinson's for many decades, she thrived with grace, dignity, and humor.She is preceded in death by her husband Francis Masat. She is survived by her sister Sharon Davis, daughter Betsy Masat, sons Thomas Masat and Mike Moser, granddaughters Tiana Tallant and Stephanie Tallant. Carol was born on December 22, 1935, in Hays, Kansas. Witty, smart, and talented, she graduated from Bethany College and Northwestern University. Married to Francis Masat on November 25, 1960, she started a family and built several careers. Throughout her colorful life, she performed with and accompanied talented singers, choruses, and instrumentalists. She moved to Key West in 1993 with her husband Fran, where she volunteered for AH Monroe, Cooking with Love MCC, and a founding member of the Straight Table at 801 Bingo. Her favorite meal was at Harpoon Harry's and she was a frequent flyer at Mangos and Gran Vin. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
