Christina McKillip Maribona, 72, a native of Key West, passed away on October 14, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born on June 12, 1952, to the late Odes B. McKillip and Anita (Aguilar) McKillip.

She is also preceded in death by her brother, Ronald B. McKillip. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Michael R. Maribona, her children Christian M. Maribona, Shannon L. Maribona (Caitlin), and Giovanna A. Maribona, her grandchildren, Cecilia V. Maribona, Margot C. Maribona and Liam M. Maribona, nephews Ronald B. McKillip Jr. and Timothy Maribona and their children, and cousins Julie Kennedy (John), Alan McKillip (Lea), Jacqueline DePoo, Cynthia Sellers (David), and Ruth Marsden and their children.

For many years, Christina managed the family business, McKillip Builders, and she had a love for crafting, entertaining and gardening, especially growing roses. She was a past member of the Key West Women's Club and Beta Sigma Phi.

In her retirement, she found joy in being surrounded by family and friends. She was a natural storyteller and loved to share tales with friends and loved ones. Her greatest treasures were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be sorely missed by all who loved her.

A visitation will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024, and a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Dean-Lopez Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Key West City Cemetery.
