Consuelo Juliet Russell passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the age of 91.  Consuelo was born on September 7, 1934 to parents, Jose and Irene Valdez.  She was the youngest of six children.  She spent the entirety of her life in Key West, a proud conch and graduate of K.W.H.S. class of 1953.  Consuelo retired from Three Sisters in Searstown after 25 years.  She will be best remembered by many for her beautiful smile and her unwavering love for family and friends.  Her passing will leave a huge void in our hearts and our lives, but knowing she is resting in peace and has gone to be with the Lord brings us much comfort.  She is survived by her three children William (Cheryl) Russell of Leesburg, FL., Cynthia (Francis) Jaycocks of Key West and Teresa (Antonio) Ramirez of Orlando, FL.  Her loving grandchildren William (Aleaha) Russell, Monique (Roy) Owens and Andres Diaz, Jr., three great grandchildren, Rylan Owens, Cameron Owens and Remi Russell, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many extended family members.  She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, George, Jose, Peter and Reynold Valdez, and her sister Rose Pinder.  The family extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Norris, the physical therapy department and the medical staff at Oasis.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 24, 2026 at the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home 418 Simonton Street Key West, FL.  Burial will be in the Key West City Cemetery.  The Dean-Lopez Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
