Daniela Orlinda Rodriguez, of Key West, Florida-

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, who left this world on October 11th, 2024, peacefully at her home in Key West, surrounded by her family, at the age of 94. Daniela was born and raised in the Province of Las Villas, Cuba. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly and was a loyal and true friend to all who knew her.

Daniela and her late husband Angel I. Rodriguez founded the Rodriguez Cigar Factory in 1984

Her greatest pastime was making chiviricos, a secret recipe that was sure to bring joy to the ones she shared them with.

Daniela is survived by her four children, Juana (Al) Difabio, Petra Sanchez, Mayra (Phillip) Bethel and Angel F. Rodriguez (Nika); her grandchildren, Angel F. Rodriguez Jr. (Denisa), Lauren (John) Gianella, Danny (Pilar) Difabio, Britney Bethel (Blake), Ariel Sanchez (Hugo, III), Aryana, Rachel, Lisel (Harold); great grandchildren, Diego, Dominick, Angelina, Brooke, Brooklyn, Harlee, Hugo IV, Alicia, Jonathan, Alena, Annora and Susanna, and Chicho who was more than just a dog.

Daniela also leaves her extended family, whom she also loved dearly, Bonnie and Sammy Kipperman, Amanda Rodriguez, Edward Sanchez and Doctor Elias J. Gerth.

Funeral arrangements will be provided by Dean-Lopez Funeral Home.

A Mass will be held on October 16th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., at The Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea, followed by a private burial at the Key West Cemetery.

The Rodriguez family would like to thank our family, friends and all who have touched our lives and for their prayers and support.
