Francisco Veliz,
Jr
June 12, 1934 – October 29, 2025
Francisco "Frank" Veliz, Jr.
1934– 2025
Francisco "Frank" Veliz, Jr., of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. Born and raised in Key West, Frank was proud to be a true Conch. A graduate of Key West High School, he went on to serve honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. His dedication to faith and community was evident throughout his life, especially through his longtime membership with the Knights of Columbus and his many years as an usher at Sts. Peter and Paul in Orlando. He had a deep appreciation for life's simple moments and carried himself with the same easy confidence as his favorite singer, Frank Sinatra — proudly living life "My Way."
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Juanita Veliz, and his brother Waldo. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Gladys (Diaz) Veliz; his daughter, Frances; his sons, David (Joanne) and Michael (Melanie); his brother, Joseph; his cherished grandchildren, Kimberly, David (Nicole), Zachary, Olivia, Ava, Angelina, Noah and many nieces and nephews.
Frank will be remembered for his happy-go-lucky spirit, his warm smile, and his love of family. He found joy in every gathering, always making those around him laugh and feel at home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Knights of Columbus in Franks memory.
