July 12, 1942 – April 23, 2024
Frank "Thor" Dudlar passed away on April 23rd 2024 at age 81. He was a "Key West Character" that danced his "New Zealand Grind" with vigor into his 80's. A Key West resident for over 25 years, he loved this town and its spirit. He often refrained "Sure is a nice place to live" He was known for giving little presents around town to ladies age 8 to 98. He grew up in New Jersey, where he lifeguarded on the shore and met his wife Sandy. They moved to Michigan to raise a family and run his construction business. Frank cherished teaching his boys how to fish and boat on Walnut Lake. After retirement, Thor moved to Key West full time where he enjoyed fishing, sailing and dancing around town and the world. Thor traveled to places like Cuba, New Zealand and Russia with friends and family for fun and fishing. He was a regular at Harpoon Harry's where he was loved by most : ) He is survived by his sons, Dr. Gannon Thor Dudlar and Gunnar Gray Dudlar, sister Barbara Clausen, and his grandchildren, Gunnar, Garrett and Saylor.
