Obituary

Jeff passed away peacefully at his beautiful home in Key West, Florida, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Maria, and his "beautiful ladies", Ashley, Nat, and Wendy.  He was born in New Jersey to his loving parents, Joan and Joe Partington, who predeceased him. Jeff was, above all else, a devoted family man. He was a loving and supportive husband, a proud father to his three sons, Justin Partington, Raymond Mellies, and Neil Mellies, and an adoring grandfather to Khai, Athena, Khannon, Kennedy, Ellie and Frankie. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, whom he loved unconditionally. He is also survived by his loving sister, Jennifer, his big brother, Joe, and their loving families. His kindness will be deeply missed by his loving and grateful mother-in-law, Alla. Jeff's warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering friendship will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.In addition to his love for his family and friends, Jeff was deeply dedicated to his profession. He faithfully served Keys Energy Services for 22 years, earning the respect of his colleagues through his hard work, integrity, and commitment. Jeff steadily worked his way up to become Supervisor of the Power System Control Center. He rarely missed a day of work and took great pride in helping keep the lights on for the Key West community he loved. Earlier in his career, Jeff also demonstrated his natural leadership and strong work ethic while serving as a store manager for Winn-Dixie, where he mentored employees and built lifelong friendships. Jeff will be remembered for his strength, his sense of humor, and his extraordinary kindness. His legacy is one of love, compassion, loyalty, and selfless service. In accordance with Jeff's wishes, his family will hold a private celebration of life at a future date to honor and remember him together.  In lieu of flowers, the family sincerely appreciates donations in Jeff's memory to support research into glioblastoma, a quiet, devastating disease which is presenting itself to a younger generation of male workers in our communities. Memorial donations may be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation Memorial through https://glioblastomafoundation.org.  To my Jeffrey I say, "I love you". His answer was always, "I love you more."... I will miss you my best friend.
