John Joseph Eschbach, III (Jack) departed this life peacefully in Big Pine Key, Florida on December 17, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Carole Irene Eschbach (Procaccini) and his nine children: Vicki Eschbach Whitby of Aston, PA; Jackie Eschbach of Philadelphia, PA and her two children, Chloe and Lily; John Eschbach of Aston, PA; Sue Giannetta of Galloway, NJ; David Hoy, Jr. (Maureen, spouse), of Leola, PA; Steven Hoy of Richmond, VA; James Hoy of Little Torch Key, FL; Justin Eschbach of Johnstown, NY and Ashley Eschbach of Houghton, MI. He is also survived by 17 additional grandchildren. Jack's passing was preceded by his parents, John and Anne Eschbach of Broomall, PA and his grandchild, Michael Giannetta of Galloway, NJ.
Jack was born on October, 30, 1946 in Bryn Mawr, PA to John Joseph Eschbach and Anne Marie Eschbach (Hammonds). He was raised in Broomall, PA and graduated from Marple-Newtown Senior Highschool. After high school, he became a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW Local 98), working as a commercial electrician in Philadelphia, PA and southern New Jersey. Jack worked on many of the city's skyscrapers and main structures such as the Philadelphia airport.
In 1998, Jack and his wife Carole, along with two of their children, retired to the Florida Keys in Big Pine Key. Jack enjoyed being out on the water in his boat and was an avid fisherman. He was a strong supporter of the U.S. Military and Veterans and loved watching John Wayne movies. Jack was also a U.S. War history buff and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others.
Jack was always welcoming to visiting family and friends and always proud to take you out on his boat, show you his beloved tropical garden and banana trees as well as share his bounty of freshly caught crab claws.
No funeral service is scheduled at this time. A memorial service will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Friends of Bahai Honda State Park at https://friendsofbahiahonda.org .
