It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cousin, Joseph "Joey" Pinder.  He passed away on Wednesday June 4, 2025 in Key West, FL.  He was born on December 15, 1952 in Key West, FL and he lived his entire life there and was a real Conch!  Joey was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Pinder, Sr. and his mother Marie Conlan Pinder and sister Donna Pinder.  Joey survives by his cousins, Wesley Malone and Colleen Malone.  Joey was a 1970 graduate of Key West High School.  He loved many sports, cars, friends, family and his church.  Joey was a member of The Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea and had a strong religious belief. We would like to make a special mention and thank you to Michael Castillo-Aguniage and Elena Steedly for helping care for Joey over the last several months.  He spoke highly of them many times.  Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday June 27, 2025 at The Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea.  Burial will be in the Southern Keys Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea.  The Dean-Lopez Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
