Rickert
February 19, 1989 – December 20, 2025
Karl Walter Rickert
With profound sorrow and abiding faith, we mourn the sudden passing of Karl Rickert, who was called home to Heaven on December 20th, at the age of 36. Karl was born on February 19, 1989 in Cleveland, Ohio. From the very beginning lived with courage, curiosity, and an unmistakable spark. He embraced life with uncommon intensity and joy. He was fiercely loyal to his friends and devoted to his family, cherishing the bonds that grounded his life. Karl found joy in fixing things, cars and motorcycles alike – appreciating both the craftsmanship and the freedom they symbolized. After high school Karl attended Ohio Technical College and then trained as a BMW technician. When that ceased to be a challenge, he attended Broward College, where he studied business management graduating Summa Cum Laude. He went on to work as a Project Manager for CBJ Construction in Fort Lauderdale. He was known for his work ethic, leadership, and attention to detail. Karl's faith was expressed through the loyal support, listening ear and compassion he offered friends. He lived his life guided by an unwavering faith and compassionate strength. Karl is survived by his loving parents, Scott and Jeanne Rickert, and an extended family including many dear friends, each of whom carries his memory forward. He is preceded in death by his beloved Nana, Papa, Grandma and Aunt. Though his days here were not long, Karl's legacy is enduring—found in the lives he touched, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave without reservation. He will be remembered always, missed deeply, and carried forever in our hearts. Karl is in the light and off on his next adventure. Friends and family are welcome to stop by Waxy's in Fort Lauderdale anytime between 11 and 2 on January 18 to celebrate Karl's life and share remembrances.
