Bud was a pillar of his community in Key West, a charismatic figure known for his larger-than-life personality and an endless repertoire of stories. He loved Key West and had an intimate knowledge of the history and people. Bud's tales were legendary, each one a mesmerizing journey through time and experience. Whether regaling his audience with stories of Key West's colorful past or recounting the triumphs and challenges of Key West's residents, Bud's storytelling had a captivating effect.
Bud actively supported our military community, and he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Midway. With a deep sense of patriotism and gratitude, he recognized the sacrifices made by our servicemen and servicewomen and devoted himself to providing unwavering support. His love of exploration led him to embrace farming, fishing and a life of adventure traveling the globe with his wife, Leta. If you knew Bud, I'm sure you have a story.
As per Bud's request, no funeral or memorial services will be held. A Celebration of Life for Bud will be held at a future date.
