Nora “Lucy” LeCoumpte, 81, passed away on June 15, 2026, in Key West, Florida. Lucy and her husband, William “Bill” LeCoumpte Jr., planted roots in Key West in 1964, building a life and family in the community they called home. Throughout her life, Lucy was known for her hard work, kindness, and dedication to helping others. She enjoyed a long career helping customers with kitchen cabinet design and sales, working at Sears, Scotty’s, and Home Depot. Winning awards along the way, Lucy loved serving customers and sharing her knowledge up until her passing. Lucy continued her love of serving customers as the owner of #1 Sub Station in Key Plaza. She was involved in her church life at New Life Tabernacle and Glad Tidings. She volunteered for many years alongside her husband at the American legion post 28 Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” LeCoumpte Jr.; her son, Larry LeCoumpte; her parents, Harold and Virgil Manson of Ohio; and her five siblings. She is survived by her two sons and their families: William “Rusty” LeCoumpte III and his wife, Lynn and Nicolas “Nick” LeCoumpte and his wife, Angie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chase LeCoumpte and his wife Kristen, Faren LeCoumpte-Beren and her husband Brian, Kurt LeCoumpte and Amberly LeCoumpte, as well as seven great-grandchildren. Extended Family included many nieces and nephews, along with the DJ Caraballo Family, Koty Chelf, and the Frank Almyda Family A Celebration of Life will take place at American Legion Hall Post 28, Key West, Florida on Saturday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m.
