Theresa (Tete to many) passed on Oct. 4, 2023. She was 99 years old when our Lord called her home. Theresa was born in New York City, on Dec. 9, 1923. She lived in Cuba during her formative teenage years, then moved to Key West in 1939. She met and married Emilio in 1943.
Her positive outlook in all aspects of her life overflowed and gently touched those who knew her. Her vivacious spirit will be fondly remembered by everyone. She leaves behind a legacy of a life fully embraced with an optimistic attitude.
She had a strong faith in God and lived accordingly, gently sharing his spirit with others. Theresa loved her church and was an unwavering member of the Old Stone Methodist Church. She was not afraid to move on with God in her next life, but instead saddened to think about missing the new and wondrous things to come in this life. As expected, always looking forward to the next event!

She is survived by her two sons , Emilio Jr. (Marilyn) Alea, David (Elaine) Alea, Grandchildren, Danny (Suzanne) Alea, David James (Vicky) Alea, Daniela (Mathew) Garofalo, Colette Alea-Barroso, Nicole (Edward) Albada, 11 great-grandchildren, Alex Alea, Kylie Alea, Matt Alea, Cassidy Presnell, Avery Alea, Alden Alea, Joshua Garofalo, Colin Garofalo, Nathen Barroso, Jackson Barroso, Aiden Albada, and two great-great grandchildren, Aurora and Oakley Rose Presnell.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m., at the Key West United Methodist Church.
